Less than 20% of Aussie kids get the recommended 60 minutes of exercise daily. Instead, they spend nearly all of their free time on screens.
The impacts of this on their health can be serious — which is why PlayStation are changing up their games and turning console moves into real-life outdoor play
PlayStation will partner with select game developers to launch an innovative new feature: Play Break Notifications. Designed to balance gaming with healthy real-world activity, these timed notifications will appear on screen during gameplay, gently reminding younger players to step away, stretch, and practise the sports they love in real world play.
Bringing PlayStation to life on the basketball court, this activation stunt bridges gaming with the real world, immersing players in an interactive experience. Fitted with motion sensors and a massive digital screen. As players crossover, jump shot, dunk, or dribble —the screen lights up identifying which PlayStation buttons correspond to their action.
OOH stickers that blend the virtual and real world of skaters by transforming everyday obstacles—like ramps and rails—into PlayStation-branded, game-inspired set pieces.
Across sporting games in Australia, playbacks will now feature the corresponding PlayStation moves on screen, showcasing not just what happened but how it happened. At the end of each game, fans will be able to visit PlayStation’s play for real website and receive personalized replays of highlighted game moves, accompanied by video tutorials showing exactly how to replicate them.
